New York Times restaurant critic Pete Wells packed a fork and his appetite for a trip to Flavor Town, USA to review Guy Fieri's new Times Square restaurant, Guy's American Kitchen & Bar. The sprawling 500-seat eatery and its adjective-heavy menu did little to impress the Times foodie. Wells shared his distaste in a stinging write-up that has spread around the web since publishing on Tuesday.

The review reads like a messy high school breakup with a steady flow of accusatory questions like "Did you discern any buttermilk or brine in the white meat, or did you think it tasted like chewy air?" The stabbing jabs also gave Twitter plenty to talk about.
Despite the Internet rush to jump on the Guy Fieri bashwagon, the Food Network personality has garnered support from fellow TV chefs like Alton Brown.
